The Centre for Systems Medicine (CSM) and Department of Physiology and Medical Physics, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) is seeking a Research Fellow or Senior Postdoctoral Fellow Position for Colorectal Cancer and AMPK signalling.
As part of the SFI-funded Investigator grant “BCL-2 family proteins and cellular bioenergetics in the control of colorectal cancer cell survival” the aim of this project is to increase our understanding of the energy sensor AMPK as a master regulator of cancer cell survival and tumour growth, and to identify novel biomarkers for therapy responses.
The candidate will have a chance to be involved in PhD student supervision and supervision of technical and other research staff, manuscript preparation, proposal preparation, industry engagement and research management, significantly extending her/his career opportunities.
