The Institute of Neuropathology located at the Faculty of Medicine in Giessen, Germany, invites applications for the position as a Postdoc in Computational Biology. The working group has a long-standing expertise in the molecular, cellular and functional characterization of the role of the microenvironment in disease, with a special emphasis on microenvironment- and hypoxia-induced mechanisms in tumor biology.
Applicants should possess a solid research background in computational biology or biomedical informatics, and a strong track record. Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience in one or more of the following areas:
- analysis of MethylationEPIC array
- gene expression array, RNA-seq
- ATAC-seq and ChIP-seq data,
- integrative quantitative and post-quantitative analyses from multiple omics datasets
- expertise in scripting in R
The applicant will establish analyses pipelines for high-throughput sequencing experiments, therapeutic gene panels in neuro-oncology and set performup meta analyses of multiomics
experiments in tumor biology with a multi-disciplinary team.
