The International Conference on Systems Biology of Human Disease (SBHD) will take place from May 27 – 29, 2019 in Berlin, Germany. The conference has a focus on systems biology approaches for the understanding, diagnosis, and therapy of human diseases.
The SBHD is a binational annual event initially launched by Peter Sorger and colleagues at Harvard Medical School in 2008 with its location alternating Harvard and Heidelberg. In 2019 the conference will take place in the German capital Berlin hosted by Charité Universitaetsmedizin Berlin and the Berlin Institute of Health (BIH) for the first time.
The Conference focuses on multiscale approaches from single cell to whole organisms, and on integration of large-scale machine learning based models with fine-grained mechanistic models. Further topics are systems biology for clinical insights, and immunological systems dynamics. In addition to talks given by invited speakers, the SBHD has had a good tradition of including short and lightning talks, as well as extended poster sessions selected from submitted abstracts.
Early Bird registration deadline: March 15, 2019
